Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dancecation at Sea (and our managing entity) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit our website, register for our event, and sail with us. We take your privacy seriously and limit the data we collect to only what is necessary to deliver your vacation and dance experience safely and efficiently.

To properly secure your stateroom and Event Pass, we are required by maritime law and travel industry standards to collect specific personal information. This includes:

Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and primary billing/shipping address.

Passenger Documentation: Date of birth, citizenship, passport information, and emergency contact details (required for the ship’s manifest).

Payment Information: Credit card details and billing information required to process your transaction.

Device & Usage Data: Standard digital information collected automatically when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type, and operating system.

We collect data strictly through direct, secure channels:

Direct Input: When you voluntarily submit your details through our official digital registration form.

Cookies: Our website utilizes standard cookies to ensure the site functions properly and to help us understand general traffic patterns. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies at any time.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to data brokers. The information you provide is used strictly for the following operational and event-related purposes:

Securing your stateroom reservation within our contracted group block.

Processing your payment for the Dancecation Event Pass.

Communicating vital itinerary updates, event schedules, and boarding requirements.

Complying with international maritime security and customs requirements.

Informing you about future Dancecation at Sea events, exclusive travel opportunities, and related updates from our organization.

Because booking a cruise requires coordination across multiple highly secure platforms, we must share specific pieces of your data with our trusted partners. We only share the exact data required for each partner to perform their specific function:

TravelJoy: Our secure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, where your booking details and customer profile are safely stored and managed.

Stripe: Our encrypted merchant payment processor. Stripe securely handles the financial transaction for your Event Pass.

Outside Agents: Our host travel agency, which facilitates the administrative and financial routing of your stateroom reservation.

Celebrity Cruises: The host cruise line. We are required to provide Celebrity Cruises with your passenger details, documentation, and contact information to generate your boarding pass, manage the ship’s manifest, and clear international customs.

H&S Dance LLC (Hugo & Stacy): As our featured talent partners for this event, we share your basic contact information (Name and Email Address) with H&S Dance LLC so they may welcome you to the community and occasionally communicate their own dance-related news, workshops, and future events. You may opt out of their mailing list at any time.

Protecting your financial data is our highest priority. We do not store your credit card information on our local servers. All payment data submitted during registration is instantly encrypted and vaulted by our PCI-compliant partners, TravelJoy and Stripe. This ensures your financial information is protected by bank-level security protocols at all times.

Due to strict state-level Seller of Travel regulations, we are legally prohibited from accepting reservations from residents of California and Hawaii. If our system captures a registration attempt utilizing a billing address from either of these states, the transaction will be immediately voided. Any personal and financial data collected during that prohibited transaction will be used solely to process an immediate refund, after which the record will be purged from our active CRM.

You have the right to request access to the personal information we have on file for you, or to request that we update or delete your information (subject to legal and maritime record-keeping requirements). If you wish to opt-out of marketing communications from us or our partners, you may do so at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of our emails.
